Join us for an informal elementary open house on August 17th from 6:00-8:00. Bring your school supplies to lighten the bookbag for the first day of school and meet your teacher! Class lists will be posted on the front doors August 10th, 2009. Don't forget to visit the school supply sale on August 13, 2009 in the elementary school cafeteria. First day of school is August 19th, 2009. We look forward to seeing you!

The Board of Education adopted a new Handbook for all extra curricular activities for both Pleasant High and Middle Schools. This handbook includes all of the Drug Testing Policies and was the revised by a committee 27 members composed of administrators, teachers, board members, and parents this past spring. Copies of the handbook are available in both the High and Middle School offices and can be downloaded here. |

SUMMER SCHOOL 2009
It is that time of year again to start thinking about SUMMER SCHOOL!
This summer, Pleasant Elementary School will be offering Summer School
for students who are currently in grades 3-6. Summer School will be
offered daily Monday through Friday, beginning June 8 through June 26,
2009 from 8:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. Our teaching staff will include
Mrs. Hoffman, Mr. Chapman, Mrs. Marvin, and Mrs. Riggs (a Middle School
teacher). Our teacher helpers will be Mrs. Woodrum and Mrs. Thompson.
Transportation will be provided. If you are interested in your child
attending Summer School 2009, please contact the Elementary office at

The Pleasant Spartan Sparklers jump rope team had the honor of performing at a Cleveland Cavaliers professional basketball game. The team performed their best jump rope tricks for a sold-out crowd at Quicken Arena in March, 2009. Click HERE to watch the video.

Pleasant Elementary students had the opportunity for several weeks this winter to roller skate in the gym. We had a great time learning to skate and as a result, many students were able to use their skills at the Zoomers skating rink in Marion. The Skatetime program was funded by the PEP grant.
Pleasant Middle School students are invited to stay after school on Tuesdays to play ping pong in the small gym. We are having a great time competing with each other and challenging middle school staff to play. Anyone with an interest in learning ping pong or improving their skills is welcome to play ping pong until 3:30 on Tuesdays.
